50 Hour Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Training- Level One

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation is a powerful practice of awareness and transformation. The practice of Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan will free you from subconscious fears, and reconnect you to your internal power, wisdom, and strength. The Manipura Yoga School Level One 50 Hour Kundalini Yoga training is an powerful opportunity to learn the philosophy, practice and basic skills of a Kundalini Yoga teacher.

We will Explore:

  1. Level One Kundalini provides a strong foundation and understanding of the depth and breadth of the practices of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. This is an introduction to the incredible depth of practices available to you through the Kundalini Tradition.

  2. Level One will teach you how to access the tools of Kundalini Yoga. You will be introduced to the myriad of kriyas, mantras, mudras, and meditations to work on all levels of your being.

  3. Level One includes:

    • history and philosophy of Kundalini Yoga

    • the Energetic body, 10 Bodies and the Chakra system 

    • the Yoga of Naad and Laya Yoga (the science of sound) and the power of mantra

    • an understanding of the purpose and execution of kriya, meditation, pranayama, and mudra to raise Kundalini energy and create a deep connection within.

    • the tools to develop and maintain a powerful personal sadhana (your daily practice) to create the life you want to expand

    • the tools to teach an inspiring Kundalini Yoga class

Certification Requirements:

You must be a certified Yoga Teacher to receive certification. Students interested in participating for personal development are welcome, but will not receive certification. Students participating for personal development will not be required to teach practicums, complete exams, etc.

  • Complete all training hours
  • Complete 40 Day Meditation
  • Teach a Kundalini Practicum Class
  • Pass written exam with 80% or better

10 Hour CEU Hatha Teaching Mentorship

This special mentorship is available to 200 Hour Yoga Teachers looking to build on their skills in teaching asana, expand their proficiency in targeting specific modifications for individual students, and excel in providing gentle hands on support in a student's practice. 

In the Mentorship you will:

  • Attend 3 Asana Foundations Workshops as an Assistant Teacher
  • You will observe and provide feedback to workshop attendees with support
  • You will be given feedback and direct evaluation following each workshop
  • You will complete a written assignment following the first workshop, and prepare two detailed postural presentations for subsequent workshops.
  • You will teach your studied postural presentations (with extensive modification preparations).
  • You will deepen your knowledge and understanding of both physical and energetic principles of foundational poses.

Spend a weekend in exploring how the subtle energy body of the Chakras can inform, elevate, inspire and transform your yoga practice. Drawing from two lineages Hatha and Kundalini, come EXPERIENCE the affects of our powerful inner world on our physical practices.

Saturday: Chakras and the Practice of Asana

This workshop is eligible for 5 hours CEU with Yoga Alliance. Continuing Education Units are required to maintain your status as a Registered Yoga Teacher. Bring journal, pens, water bottle, and a light lunch. The workshop will include relevant lecture, yoga practice, an opportunity to practice new approaches to various yoga asanas, several breathing techniques, and meditation, along with time to reflect and discuss the experiences that will naturally arise from this class. This workshop is open to all levels.

The practice of Hatha Yoga embraces body, breath, mind and spirit. It is the inward journey to the core of our being. What happens when you expand your awareness of your energetic body into your physical practice? You experience lightness, joy and a cupful of awesome-sauce. Join Jay Suttonbrown as she interweaves the subtle bodies into a foundational and dynamic practice. Learn how to use the energetic body of the chakras to establish a grounded, fluid, stronger, and more compassionate asana practice.

We will explore:

  • How to access seated, standing and inversions for everybody (there is an energetic access point to each posture, regardless if you get physically upside down)
